    Personal Story

From Mental Health to Cellular Health

At nine years old, I decided I wanted to help people heal. That conviction never left me. I earned my Master's Degree and dual licenses as a Marriage and Family Therapist and a Professional Clinical Counselor, and for years I did work I loved — sitting with foster youth and patients in hospital settings, helping them make sense of their lives.

But I kept finding myself pulled toward something else. Every spare moment I had, I was deep in research on biochemistry, physical health, and the biology underneath the struggles I was witnessing in the therapy room. I didn't fully understand why then. I do now.

The Answer Was Yes — and It Changed Everything

The shift became personal when my son stopped growing at the age of one. After years of the medical system missing the mark, it was my own relentless research — what some might call "crazy mom determination" — that finally found the answer. Today, he is a healthy, thriving young man.

That experience sent me back to my own mother's story: her years of grinding through a medical system that couldn't explain what was happening to her, and her eventual diagnoses of Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia. I had spent my career helping people navigate impossible situations. But now I found myself asking a different question entirely — were these "unsolvable" diagnoses actually solvable?

"Were these 'unsolvable' diagnoses actually solvable? After years of study, I know the answer is yes."

After years of intensive study, advanced certifications, and many clinical deep-dives, I know the answer is yes. The traditional medical system is extraordinary at many things — but it was not built to find the root causes of complex, multi-system health struggles. It treats what it can see. Nutrigenomics goes deeper.

When you finally understand why your body is responding the way it is — when the fragmented symptoms, the dismissed concerns, the diagnoses that never quite fit suddenly have a coherent explanation — something shifts. It isn't just clarity. It's permission to believe that things can actually change.

That is what this work gives people. And it is why, after everything that brought me here, I can say with complete conviction: You don't need to keep searching alone. They are waiting for the right kind of investigation — and someone with both the tools and the heart to see it through with you.

Why This Work — and Why Me

Root-cause healing is high-level detective work. It demands patience, precision, and a genuine obsession with getting to the bottom of things — and honestly, that's just how I'm wired.

I've spent years developing expertise at the intersection of genetics, functional nutrition, and the kind of careful, personalized analysis that most conventional approaches simply don't have time for. But clinical rigor alone isn't enough. The clients I work with have often been dismissed, misunderstood, or handed solutions that only ever addressed part of the picture. I know how exhausting that is — and I take it personally.

What I bring to this work is both: the science to find what others have missed, and the empathy to walk alongside you while we do. Your health challenges are not a mystery without a solution. They are a puzzle waiting for the right person to sit down with you and work it through — and that is exactly what I am here to do.

In practice, that looks like the better part of a week reading every lab you can find — often seven to ten years — deciding what testing we still need, and then, once results are in, hours of weaving your labs, genetics, and organic acids together until the real root comes into view. It's slow, careful, one-person work, and it's the reason people finally get answers.
